Starblast io is an online multiplayer space shooter game created by Neuronality. Since its release in 2016, it has attracted players with its smooth controls, space-themed environments, and engaging ship upgrade mechanics. Players mine asteroids to collect gems, which are used to improve ship abilities or unlock stronger spacecraft through seven tiers. The game combines strategic mining, fast-paced shooting, and tactical decisions in a vibrant cosmic arena.

Main gameplay features

Mining and upgrading

Players start with basic tier 1 ships and shoot asteroids to collect gems. These gems allow you to upgrade your ship's stats like shield capacity, laser damage, energy regeneration, speed, and handling. With enough gems, you can evolve into higher-tier ships with new weapons and features.

- Combat and strategy

Combat is real-time and requires players to dodge, shoot, and plan upgrades carefully. Speed and mobility are essential to survive enemy attacks, while firepower helps you dominate space battles. Watching the minimap and moving constantly increases your chance of survival.

Game modes

Team Mode: Join one of three factions and destroy the enemy base with teammates.
Survival Mode: Free-for-all combat where the last survivor wins.
Invasion Mode: Defend against enemy waves and survive as long as possible.
Pro Deathmatch: Competitive battle mode where players race to reach the kill limit.

New ship balance update

A major Starblast.io update introduced important changes to ship performance across different tiers:

Tier 3 - Shadow X1: Speed increased from 120 to 140, and faster fire rate. Previously considered weak, this ship is now a strong choice in combat.
Tier 4 - Crusader: Improved firepower and faster generator reload speed.
Tier 4 - Vanguard: Increased speed, improving maneuverability.
Tier 4 - Interceptor: +5 speed and a faster fire rate, boosting combat efficiency.
Tier 5 - T-Warrior: +10 speed and better firing rate, resolving its former weakness in firepower and mobility.
Other tiers: Ships in tier 1, 2, 6, and 7 were also affected, but specific adjustments have not been disclosed.

These updates aim to balance ship performance, give older weaker ships a chance in combat, and make gameplay more enjoyable for both new and experienced players.
